Cannon Gate Park

Situated in the heart of the Southern Minnesota Lake Region, picturesque Cannon Gate Park affords seasonal camping with easy access to eight miles of beautiful waterways through lakes Tetonka and Sakatah and the Cannon River. Many lakes, golf courses, an outlet mall and shopping are all within an hours' drive.

Brent and Judy Phillipson have retired after 26 years as the owners, and have sold Cannon Gate Park. It has been a pleasure to have provided seasonal sites to many over the years and we have made lots of good friends. The new owner is Brent Wilcox. We offer spacious, full amenity sites in various locations around the park; 6 on the river and 16 on the lakeshore – in addition to 14 sites off the water, most of which have lake or river views. Our private harbor, in the center of the park, provides sheltered fishing and convenient boat docking.

With long standing friendships, developed over the years, we prefer our residents to exercise their best judgment and common respect for their neighbors, instead of enforcing any hard and fast regulations upon them.

We’re very pet friendly.

There is no charge or registration needed for residents’guests.

Lot rentals vary dependent on location,

being seasonal we require the full amount to be paid by May 1 each year but arrangements can be made to pay in 3 installments, May 1, June 1 and July 1.

  • Non-refundable deposit is required to secure following year.
  • Additional deposit payment in February is also required.

Our season is from May 1 through September 30

but most years we are open earlier in April and close later in October.
